Privacy Policy — Pour Tech Construction Calculators
The short version: Pour Tech doesn't collect any personal information from the calculators themselves, and we never sell your data. The ads you see on the site are served by third-party networks that use cookies to choose which ad to show you.
1. Information you give us
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The dimensions you type (room size, sheet count, paint area) never leave your device — we don't log them, we don't aggregate them, and we don't sync them to any account.
If you choose to contact us using the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the message you type. We use that information only to respond to your message. We don't add you to any marketing list.
2. Cookies and similar storage
Pour Tech itself doesn't set cookies for the calculators — no analytics, no session cookies, no local-storage beacons. Third-party ad networks (currently Google AdSense) set their own cookies when they serve an ad. Those cookies allow the networks to:
- Remember that you've seen an ad so it doesn't repeat.
- Build an anonymous profile of the kinds of sites you visit so they can show ads you might find relevant.
- Measure how many times an ad is shown and clicked.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from many networks via aboutads.info (the Digital Advertising Alliance's consumer choice page) or your browser's privacy settings. Some browsers also block third-party cookies by default; the ad slots we render still occupy their reserved space but no ad fills them, which is an acceptable experience.
3. Children
Pour Tech is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please email us so we can delete it.
4. Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider retains standard server logs (timestamped request records with IP addresses and user agents) for security and abuse-prevention purposes. We don't look at those logs for analytics or advertising. Logs are rotated and discarded on a rolling 30-day window.
5. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we collect or use information, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Small clarifications or wording fixes won't trigger a banner notification; they'll be folded in quietly.
